Assembly Video
The video describing the assembly is being worked on. I put a lot of detail in the parts list to provide as much insight as I could.

Parts from Amazon (Could be from anywhere, does not have to be Amazon)
Cutting board for the base. I found this to be brittle and it cracked when inserting the feet on the base. Any piece of wooden board that is roughy 15 inches by 10 inches or larger will work. Check that the corners on one side are flat so the screws for the feet have a place to go. Many cutting boards have grooves that can interfere.
Quantity: 1
Adjustable feet for leveling the base. Adjustable feet are not needed if you have another way of leveling the photos. Some film holders have their own adjustable feet. Fixed feet will help if your desk is not completely flat.
Quantity: 1
Contact paper to wrap around the wooden base. Any black and non-reflective cover will work. This is to prevent color casts in the scans.
Quantity: 1
Parts from any hardware store
5/16-18 x 1-1/4" Bolts
Bolts for connecting the extrusion to the base.
Quantity: 3
5/16-18 Nuts
Nuts for the bolts connecting the extrusion to the base.
5/16 Washers
The nuts by themselves are not wide enough for the wooden base. Three washers are for the base and two are as spacers between the panning head and the leveling head.
Quantity: 5
Tripod Parts
Any tripod head that allows adjustments in two axis can be used. A geared head will allow fine tuning the adjustments easier than a ballhead. I used the below parts because I already had the parts.
Panning Head
Panning allows adjustments side to side.
Amazon no longer sells the panning head I used. Any panning head will work. Make sure you have a way to mount your camera to the panning head. Mine uses Arca-Swiss standard mounting system.
Quantity: 1
Camera leveler allows adjustments front to back.
Quantity: 1
You may need various adapters and screws for putting together the tripod pieces. It does not have to be this kit. Tripod screws are standardized, so get a kit specially designed for tripods. Common issues are changing from 1/4 inch to 3/8 inch screws and you can never have enough thumbscrews.
Quantity: 1
Tools
Drill with Drill Bits
I did not track which size bits I used. As long as you have a good set of bits, you should be able to figure it out.
Hex keys for TNUTS screws. You don’t need a complete set. Only 3/16 key is needed.
Quantity: 1
150 Grit Sandpaper
Many wooden cutting boards are oiled. Sanding will help the contact paper adhere to the cutting board. I had 150 grit handy, but any coarse grit will work.
Wrenches
For tightening the screws to the base. It helps to have two, one to hold the bolt in place and the other to tighten the nut.
